Public Works in recent years invested 55 billion

BREAKING NEWS: Samaná.- Ministry of Public Works and Communications has invested in recent years more than 55 billion pesos in the implementation bridges, roads, highways, pedestrian and paved streets, avenues, buildings and waterworks.

During the two years of management headed by engineer Victor Diaz Rua 113 works have been completed nationwide, with an investment of over 3 billion pesos.

These works inaugurated in management include the Santo Domingo-Samaná highway, the completion of Majluta James Avenue, reconstruction of Hispano-American Avenue and the construction of Vendor Traffic in Santiago and the paving of 1,787.40 km of roads, avenues, streets and roads, through the National Plan of asphalt, among other works.

The SEOPC planned completion in the first months of 2010 of the first phase of Atlantic Touristic Boulevard ranging from zero kilometer Nagua to Sanchez entry. The expansion includes a total length of 34 kilometers.

The completion of the works and major projects outlined in this paper are implemented with local funds and external financing.
