To start micro-enterprisesBREAKING NEWS: Samaná.- A total of 361 families of Samaná, received 3 million 874 thousand dollars to start micro-enterprises as beauty salons, coffee shops, sewing workshops, sales of footwear, apparel and accessories, convenience stores, bakeries, fishmongers, selling clothes in silver, purchase and selling coconuts, among others.
The activity was led by the First Lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, who said that thanks to micro-credit million families in the world have had the opportunity to leave the poverty line.
The idea of micro-credit is to approach those who have fewer opportunities to bring them hope with a meaningful perspective of social, educational and economic status

With this strategy we seek to promote a social economy that allows us to support families through initiatives aimed at the self and its own development from a business perspective, and that, besides the growth of people individually, allowing collective growth in each of the communities where we implement the progresando program

My First Progress
is an initiative arising product of the alliance between the DPD and the National Council for Promotion and Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, where the firm is committed to empowering families to be benefited and to give loans PROMIPYME to those eligible.
To receive the loans, families ran out a process of training and evaluation that requires delivery of cash, which is overseen by a committee consisting of the DPD and PROMIPYME.
To date 394 families have benefited the communities of San Isidro, San Pedro de Macoris, Manoguayabo, Los Alcarrizos Yamasá, Herrera, Boca Chica, Santiago Rodríguez, El Seibo and Santiago de Los Caballeros, with a $ 6 million 81thousand dollars.
